Valerie managed and did the design for a remote remodel of our home. She was exceedingly professional and communicative throughout the entire process. The project was a complete remodel of two full bathrooms, interior redesign/painting which included structural work and opening up our great room, design and construction of an outdoor grill and seating area, new tile work, sink, and backsplash in the kitchen, as well as new lighting and unobtrusive electrical changes throughout, finally we added a new fireplace mantle and updates to the interior of the home. Valerie worked closely with the contractor to make everything happen. We love the entire design, and the post-renovation feeling of the house is greatly improved. Things that needed to be removed were taken out, and everything from the structural changes to small details (like cabinet hardware) look seamless. The bathroom turned out beautifully with floor to ceiling glass, spa-like atmosphere, a beautiful vanity tower, and great hardware. We found her attention to detail and resourcefulness refreshing; as an example, we had extra granite from the bathrooms, Valerie found a way to add a stellar granite counter to the outdoor grill – and did so with the entire project still coming in under budget! Valerie at Chimera Design did an amazing job designing our master bathroom, powder room and patio/BBQ area. Her endless creativity and knowledge about the various materials used was refreshing. At one point mid construction in our master bathroom we had to completely change tiles as the ones picked were not going to work, Valerie found an even better tile in no time that worked fabulously and looks great.
In addition to her great design skills Valerie was also very accessible. I could call her at any moment if I thought something was not on track or going as planned!
